The cabin was excellent and succeeded my expectations. It was warm and toasty. The fire place and heater worked perfectly, which that was a good thing with the whipping wind and blowing frigid snow that was encasing the area. The jacuzzi was warm and very inviting. It provided much relaxation for my husband and I. We finished off our night by playing several games of rummy in the rustic kitchen. The weather prohibited us from spending any time outside and actually made for a difficult trip home since the parkway route in was clos..."ed overnight due to snow/ice. A couple of things to note. I've stayed in cabins before at $100 a night, I thought these were reasonably priced. That said, the kitchen is very limited, as in only a microwave and small fridge. You aren't close to anything in terms of dining options or grocery so you have to bring in what you need and basically cooking is limited to sandwiches or "heat and eat" canned foods. The freezer wouldn't even be big enough to keep a couple of frozen entrees. The location was beautiful, and given the right time of year, it would have been possible to spend some time outside and even grill dinner. Definitely a good one or two night spot. " More >

  "We were a little worried about calling so late after our long trip in. We had arrived around 10pm and found our room. I went in and familiarized myself to the room while the hubby brought down the luggage. (Next time we will pack 2 med sized bags instead of 1 large one due to the amount of stairs to..." our unit). Once the hubby got back with the luggage we tested the lock and noticed our unlock code did not work. We panicked. The first thing that crossed our mind was were we in the wrong unit (the pathway is marked but each unit was not marked). So we decided to call. To our amazement, they answered and reassured us we did have the correct room. They walked us through reprogramming the door code to our room and headed off to bed. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. next time we have a late arrival though, I will ask to have the AC turned on prior to our arrival as it was still nice and toasty in September.
