  "I'll admit I wasn't expecting too much, as there were very limited reviews/pictures to give me a sense of ease. However, my wife and I were very pleased with our two night stay. I'll address some of the things that I think would be helpful: Location: It is about a 15 walk on rural road to Kinvara..." center, and 5-7 to the castle. Weather is never reliable in Ireland, so if you don't have a waterproof jacket, you might have some difficulty. However, we loved the location as we had the option to drive (very short drive to town). Also, this is a new house with a beautiful view overlooking farmland. It is in and extremely beautiful area and we found it extremely relaxing. A previous review mentioned a "new neighborhood." This is misleading as this is hardly a neighborhood--just a new home located in the rural surroundings of Kinvara. House/Rooms: Very new, but in no way lacking a welcoming and "cozy" feel.   "I swore I would never stay here again after a dreadful experience a few years ago but it has changed hands so I tried it again. It was very clean, all the staff I dealt with were very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was good with a lovely gentleman serving every day I was there, he could ..."not have been more helpful. The room I had was in need of some work and the bath remains the very shallow type that it is impossible to relax in but elsewhere it was obvious that work has been done to bring the hotel back to the standard it offered when it first opened. The hotel itself is in a great location, Kinvara is a lovely little village within easy reach of the attractions of South Co. Galway, Galway city itself and North Co. Clare with The Burren just a few miles away. If you are there on a Friday morning the Farmers' Market is worth a visit with home baking and many cheeses, all the makings of a great picnic. " More >
