I personally find the decor itself also a bit tasteless and old-fashioned but it works together with the historic country feel of the place. Breakfast provisions were plentiful and fresh and we love the proximity of several good wineries within walking distance (though beware of next door Peteringa, those crooks will send a highly annoying call centre onto you if you share your address with them!).
