  "This is a great little motel directly across from Jennette's Pier in Nags Head and close to a lot of restaurants and attractions on the Outer Banks. We stayed in one of the efficiency suites which had a queen bed, sofa bed, bath, and small kitchen. It was clean and the bedding/furniture was comfor..."table and in good condition. It's not a big room and the bathroom is a little tight, but when you're at the beach you're not going to be spending a lot of time in your room anyways! Our room had tile in the kitchen and bath and hardwood floors in the living space, which was nice when you're dealing with sandy feet and pets. We traveled with our two Boston Terriers and had a great stay. The staff was really nice and the motel was very quiet, although it was full for our entire stay. Will definitely stay here again! A note to future travelers -- please take poop bags with you so that you can clean up after your pets. It would be nice for the motel to have one of those baggie dispe... " More >

  "This was my first visit to Nags Head, NC. My husband used to come here as a child, but couldn't remember where they had stayed. I started doing some research and Surf Side seemed like a great option. We do a lot of fishing so Jennette's Pier was just right down the road. This was by far one of the b..."est hotels that we have ever stayed in! It was so clean. The color scheme chosen was so charming. The staff were all extremely friendly. We arrived late, and the office closes at 11pm so they arranged for us to still be able to get into our room that night and continue the check in process the next morning. The cleaning staff were also very friendly, and do a phenomenal job. The view from the balcony in the room is gorgeous. The price you pay for everything you get is a steal!!   "Lovely little hotel which is directly on the beach. We had a great view and listened to the waves all night. Didn't make it down to the breakfast but there is an amazing deli across the street. There is a pool as well which looked lovely. "
