  "Hotel was 30 mins. from Emerald Isle which really wasn't that far. We had last minute plans to go the for an event so most of the hotels on the island where booked or really over priced. This is one of the nicest Hampton Inns I have stayed at. Room was clean, quite and well appointed. Lobby was l..."arge with great seating for their full breakfast in the AM. Had complementary coffee in lobby throughout day, nice pool and well maintained grounds. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurants were not that good around the hotel so you would have to go to Moorehead City or New Bern, both 30mins in either direction, but the drive wasn't that bad for good food that wasn't fast food. Would stay here again if I had the need to. " More >

  "We stayed one night on our trip from Hatteras to western NC. The check-in was fast. The desk clerk was helpful in suggesting dinner nearby. The room was, large, clean, quiet, and well lighted. A little bit pricey for a largely empty property, but we felt the value was worthwhile."

  "Cheap but no where near the beach."
  "Everything you would expect from Hampton Inn, but the town doesn't have much to offer. The map shows it reasonable close to Morehead city 17 miles, but takes 30 minutes to get there. We saved money by choosing this location, but wasted to much time driving back and forth."
