  "If i may critique kindly...we enjoyed our stay and will return...your brochure tells of well appointed bathrooms....we spent one night in The Colonial an unimposing space with a small bathroom...we spent 3 nights in Sunrise View a lovely space with a shower and bathroom sized for a munchkin........"inadequate in every way...another problem with Sunrise View was the smell of the food being prepared in the mornings drifted from the kitchen area into our bedroom...we still enjoyed the suite with it's magnificent view....your staff is excellent from housekeepers to the front desk...Anne Hardin is so efficient..capable and pleasant...she is a keeper...Restaurant G is superb...well served and very well prepared...chef Hunter is talented and amenable...we dined there twice of the 4 nights it was by far the best in town.   "Very convenient location to downtown Blowing Rock. Rates were a bit higher than was on the web site. We did not call first. A small room, but very clean. Two rockers out front to sit on.   "We were in town for out anniversary and stayed Friday and Saturday nights. With the rain we did not get out and walk around the grounds due to the rain. We did manage to play ping pong and the wife visited the spa at Chetola (it was already scheduled before we and the rain arrived) The breakfa..."st was good. They have some stupid paper slip you take to breakfast that shows who you are so you can get breakfast and then they cross your name off a list. We left our paper on the table the first morning and then Sunday the girl acted as if it were a big deal we did not have the slip of paper. Anyway we ate. We stayed in the main part, i guess. Nothing fancy, nicer than your average hotel room. I think with the rain we missed out on the beauty of the resort but again that was out of our control. " More >
