Our 2nd floor room had a balcony facing the ..."street, but we never heard any street noise. Of course we were there off-season, so there really wasn't much traffic. Could be different in season. Our room had a microwave and fridge, but no coffeemaker. They do brew coffee in the lobby, but not early enough for us! There is a Royal Farms store across the street if, like us, you need coffee first thing in the morning. The pool area is very nice and well kept and sits right on the canal - just beautiful.   "When I was a child we camped all the time, usually in the same campground. It was always at least an alright time. So when the wife suggested we get a camper and take our children on some camping trips I was all for it. Our in-laws live in Delaware and we where visiting them this week anyway..." and figured we would make this our first trip. We looked on line and found Treasure Island. Both of our children (girl 7 and boy 12) skate board so we choose it primarily for the skate park. All the reviews on campgrounds in the area where relatively similar. From our first phone call to our check out, the staff was friendly and helpful. The office and store employees where more than willing to assist with any questions we had. The store was surprising well stocked. The campground itself was clean and we felt very safe. There was a security patrol car which notice on patrol through out the evening and night.   "Place was fairly roomy with comfortable beds and had nice TV and wifi setup. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Place could use some new cups, glasses, flatware, dishes and grill. Has an unusual arrangement where two bedrooms with a full bath are separate from the main house with the kitchen, fining..." and living area. The separate bedrooms are connected to the main living area by a covered breezeway. A word of caution though about the rental manager. They charge a $75 security deposit for keys. If you lose one they'll keep it. Kinda pricey for a measly key if you ask me. I lost one and fortunately the police had it. They notified the rental manager but they never bothered to tell me the police had it. Poor customer service. " More >
