We stayed in the Merlot room which is in the renovated barn, or backhouse. Our room was upstairs and it was so quiet I thought we were the only guests upstairs. We were not, but I didn't find out until our last day there were guests in the room across the hall from us. The room was very spacious with a large en-suite bathroom. The Inn is located a short distance from downtown so we were able to walk to the restaurants for dinner. We would definitely stay here again! " More >

  "We took mom mom to Skaneatles for a birthday trip. We found the Gray House and are glad we stayed there. The price was terrific compared to other places and we could walk to town and dinner. They had a room that slept 3, which was important for us. Breakfast was an assortment of cereals, fresh an..."d bread and English muffins and bagels. There were 2 coffee types and OJ. That was fine for us. The owners lived next door but were there for anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place it was very nice, but not "Over the top" like some B and B tend to be.   "We didn't travel far from home (2 hrs) but we needed to get away for a weekend to rest from caring for sick family. We wanted it to be private, quiet, pretty, modern, and with all the amenities too. (We're a little done with B&B's,,,i.e. we didn't particulary want to socialize with our hosts or ..."want a schedule). So we got just what we wanted here; REST, our own schedule, great accomodations, contemporary, clean, tv, wifi, pretty, spacious, and caring above average people running the place! Thank you God! It's just what we needed. I will definitely come back some day when we're in a better frame of mind and book friends or family with us and have more FUN on our next trip. We did get into the town one day and it was a great place to visit, shop and eat. You will receive, on check in, suggestions of where to eat, what to see...They also provided water, juice and room snacks that we didn't know we needed but we really ended up using them all!
