  "Basically, what you see is what you get...... The place is old; the walls are thin, the plumbing loud and the wallpaper knicked and a little torn. The rooms are relatively expensive. BUT, the place reeks charm, was clean and actually smelled -- I dunno -- "fresh" I guess. In that genuine cloth..."esline sort of way, not that disinfectant, cleaners and deodorizers sort of way. Odd thing to notice, I guess, but I did. The room I stayed in was large with a nice walk-out balcony and the bedding clean, soft and comfortable. Was the bathroom dated, the ceiling fan wobbling threateningly above the bed and an ancient model, tube-tv I haven't seen in years sitting on the dresser? Yeah. But so what? Absolutely charming. Breakfast was good with nice choices and served in the light and airy dining room with a view of the river.
