The food is really good and the only problem is how to resist the lovely cakes and scones at afternoon tea. The countryside around is stunning.   "It's hard to believe that you're only just over an hour out of Cape Town when you get to BK. It feels like a world away. The service is of the highest standard - friendly and efficient. We were upgraded to the Orchid Suite as it was our anniversary which was great. Had a peek into the other rooms an..."d they're pretty small, but cosy. Dinner was a four course, delicious affair. Flavours were bold and portions were generous. High tea was also memorable. Gorgeous little pies and sandwiches and yummy sweet stuff. Breakfast was on the unoriginal side. I would have liked to see, other than the usual fry up, options like eggs benedict and french toast. Activities were fun. Cycling, archery (with a great instructor) and game drives (ranger was super infomed) - all included. I was keen to try clay pigeon shooting but this had to be booked in advance (a fact I wish the website had included so as to avoid disappointment). All in all, a lovely, peaceful weekend. " More >
