"So, you have come to Mary to spend time looking at the site of that world heritage location Merv for whom the last tourist was Ghenghis Khan in 1221. So Ok maybe Timberlane rocked up a bit later...Certainly it does seem like not too mant people come to stay here. There are loads of staff- cheerful e..."nough- but looking bored out of their minds since there are only a few rooms (did some one say 28?) in this modern block built in 2004.
The foyer lounge is pleasant enough though the bar might not have your first requested drink.: I admit a hot chocolate when it is 40 degrees outside is a minority request. The restaurant was pretty bare & they only seem to have enough food to suit preordered meals. I was on an all inclusive & didn't really enjoy the food- but the local businessmen on the next table did have a pretty good looking feast. "Hotel Margush is modern and nice hotel. Its location is great. During our stay here, we would simply walk to the nearby park, river, museum or market place. The hotel’s lobby is lovely and comfortable. The room was pleasant, clean and comfortable. The staffs are nice and friendly. They are always re..."ady to help. The food served at the restaurant was good. We stayed here for a couple of days at Hotel Margush, and during our stay here we found nothing lacking. So we don’t mind staying here again. We also recommend it to friends and folks as we have heard from some other people too that this is the best hotel out here.

"f you made it up to Mary after the ‘delightful’ road ride (probably all the construction materials have been used to build another surreal edifice in the capital and there is no left to fix the road) from Ashgabat you may need a safe place where to rest. Rahat Motel’s rooms need a brush up, the toil..."ets are a bit archaic but the place is safe, good value for money, the reception welcoming and helpful and there is also a little TV. The motel is next to a truck stop on the road to the southern border and just a short taxi from the town centre. The double room was 43 US$.
If you fancy to see the ruins in Merv ask a taxi driver to bring you there and show you around (cost 40US$)
