The rooms are beautiful and several are quite large. Those that have balcony access overlook the Flat River where fish, ducks and geese are swimming all around. The Flat River Grill for lunch, dinner or cocktails is just steps over the river and the best breakfast around can be had at the Back Water cafe, just a one minute walk around the corner. " More >

  "I would've given this place 3 stars (for the bed comfort and water issues alone) however the fact that the service and cleanliness were amazing put it at a 4 star for us. My husband and I stayed for two nights while in town for a wedding. We had mixed feelings about this hotel and Room #6... ..."The first night... Upon arriving to the hotel, Lyndsay (at the front desk) was absolutely wonderful. It was a last minute decision to come in a night early and she was able to answer my questions (through a number of phone calls) with an upbeat personality and she was very helpful and patient. Upon arriving she informed us that the room was being aired out due to a previous guest not following the rules. This was not a big deal since it was a nice day out and it was refreshing to have some air. We didn't stay in the room long before we had to go to rehearsal and dinner.   "My whole family stayed here for a big get together. So, there was 9 of us! We all stayed in our own rooms, and then hung out together upstairs in the kitchen/family room area. There was PLENTY of room, and I had a little one with me, so that says a lot since he is always on the go! Big leather c..."ouches, and a spacious island in the kitchen surrounding a gas stove that I could cook on for days. There is a spectacular view from the attached balconies that overlooks the river, and even had a friendly duck come say hello. The rooms themselves were immaculate, with walk in dual-head showers (nice!), and even a fluffy robe on the hanger to pad around in. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially when we had some extra time to spend in the morning. The staff allowed us to lounge around PAST the check-out time in the family room so we could all fellowship together a little longer.
