Altough warned of Fwy noise and occasional train, the room was quiet at night and during the day it did not seem bothersome. The views were quite nice from the balcony and enjoyed walking to the small town..." of Summerland. We could also walk to the beach as well. Staff was great, food was good and there are only 17 rooms so it was very private overall. We had the hot stone massage on site, spa on site but accomodated the 2 of us just fine. I am thinking 2 at a time (in the same room is about max.) For a nice weekend retreat and some peace and quiet I would recommend this property. " More >

  "I stayed at this Inn more than a year ago, as a gift from a friend who lives in Monceito, nearby. We both had a lovely room overlooking the ocean. I liked the decor and the private little garden area for sipping wine, or reading. The highway noise was not a big concern. Breakfast was more than ample...", and the lobby personnel, the wine service and nibbles, all very happy-making and easy. A walk through the village is a must. Terrific antique shops, garden shops and clothing stores, plus a very fun and lively pub where President Bill Clinton once played the sax, spontaneously, when he was president. I would defiintely return to the Inn on Summerhill. I stayed downstairs in the last room on the left, my friend stayed in the first room on the right, downstairs. We both felt our rooms were furnished nicely, elegantly and made us feel good to be in them. The beds are excellent. Parking is easy. And, you are in paradise - Summerland, Montecito, Santa Barbara?
