  "This resort is a step back in time to an ear of quiet elegance. The staff of this widely spread out resort is extremely attentive and friendly. We were there for a 45th high school reunion, and the is made for that kind of event. The casita style rooms are spacious, extremely clean and well kept...". Robes and slippers come with the room and the bathroom is wonderfully appointed and very spacious with both a stall shower and stand-alone tub. Our room had a wood burning fireplace great for the cool evenings of Spring. Beds are comfortable. The area is very quiet, and it makes for a peaceful sleep. The only "negative" about our room was that it was a little dark and could have used more lighting. During the day it was fine, but could use more ceiling lighting at night. I would highly recommend this property -- although it is not inexpensive. On the other hand, Rancho Santa Fe is one of the most wealthy areas in the country. I walked around airflow brick walk way, passed the spa which is getting renovated Amd looks fantastic. I. The lobby was a large sitting room area a d the off to the side the check in. Very helpful and friendly front desk attendants and I was assigned a fully renovated room. I I opened the door to my casita style chambers and fell in love immediately the new wood floors the gorgeous bed , the outside patio, the beautiful bathroom with great amenities.
