We drove past this bea..."utiful place and the jeep kept going to a complete dump! We nearly cried but my boyfriend suggested we walk to this place and have a look. We asked if they had space which they did and promptly rung the tour company to get us moved to Campamento! In doing so we went from 1 star crap to 5 star luxury in an hour! The staff could not have been more helpful and the owner really helped us out when our tour company again messed up and we missed our flyby. He went above and beyond to ensure we saw the falls and had a lovely stay when he didn't have to and we will be eternally grateful for that.   "We just returned from a Venezuela tour. We did the 3 days Angel Falls tour with Kavac. We actually booked our tour through Osprey Expeditions, Ben was great. We arrived in Canaima and were greeted by our tour guide, Moomba. He was great and suggested we walk down to the lagoon for nice views of ..."the falls while we were waiting for the other plane to arrive. He assured us our bag would be safe and it was. Upon arriving at the camp, Moomba explained to us how our first day of visiting Salto Sapo would be. He was very informative and complete in the description. On the tour he was also very informative about the area. At Salto Sapo he even offered people to walk under the smaller top part of the falls and then a little down the river to almost the edge of the big part. It looked very exciting, although we did not do it. The next day we headed to Angel Falls, the boat ride was long but the scenery the entire way was beautiful.
