  "We stayed 2 nights at Algodon Wine Estates in early March 2013. Weather was warm and dry. Our experience was terrific - the rooms, although simply furnished, are very comfortable. The best part about the room was thecovered porch (each room has one) with sofa, table and hammock - very enjoyable spo..."t to relax and enjoy their terrific wines. The staff was excellent - the help from Julietta was especially appreciated. The restaurant served excellent meals - our breakfast was included and our dinners met our expectations. Golf carts are provided for the guests to roam the estates. The facility is outside San Raphael about 15-20KM (20 Minutes) in a rural area so peace and quiet is abundant!   "I can't be effusive enough about our stay at Andes Lands, or should I say with Vicky and Michael. I choose the latter because it really felt like we stayed with friends. This lovely couple went out of their way to include us in their family Easter. We found ourselves part of a reunion, three of thei..."r four sons were there with partners and some gorgeous children. We had family meals around the big table every lunch and dinner - delicious home-cooked food. They even gave us chocolate eggs during the big Easter meal. The decor of this house is my dream. Built in 1905, it's got a evocative shabby chic style that's as authentic as it is luxurious. Our bathroom had an amazing shower and our room was big, but still cosy. It's about ten minutes outside San Rafael, so to make things easier it's wise to get a hire car. Having said that, we didn't have one and the family were always happy to ferry us to the bus stop. Plus, if you like books, then theirs is a haven with hundreds of tomes... " More >
