Dont get me wrong, everything is great (big rooms, good food, fantastic service from all the staff etc) but you are very much paying for it. Why do they charge for a boat transfer from the airport - how else woudd you be expected to get to the hotel. Three things that impressed me - the boat lagoon tour recomended by concierge was great. the shuttle to the mainland is worth doing to get a sense of island life.   "The le meridien was everything we had hoped for!!! I had done a great deal of research while creating our dream trip of three weeks in French Polynesia, and it paid off!! There we 6 adults all traveling together ( three couples) from ages 30-60 and this hotel suited all of wants and needs. Although ..."we were told upon arrival that the hotel was booked to %80, it never felt the slightest but crowed, heck we seemed to have the whole ocean in the front of our bungalows to ourselves the entire week, simply perfect!. The hotel is beautiful, staff is very nice and will go out of the way to provide you with what you want, so long as you just ask. We all stayed in premium over the water bungalows in the 300's and thought they were stunning. I loved being able to jump/swim in our own little paradise. We had breakfast included, and were very greatful, as it was delicious and fulfilling. We only had lunch a couple times and the pizza and pasta were good.
