  "Our stay at the Waterfront Accommodation with our best travelling friends in the two bedroom apartment with it's own balcony was a perfect way to end our Croatian odyssey. Paulina and Antonio are the perfect hosts...a well oiled team who gave us enough information to make the most of our short time ..."in Korcula, but not so much that was nothing left to discover for ourselves. A highlight was our car trip with Antoinio exploring his island. His commentary was informative and by the end of our 5 hour trip, we had a good understanding of the island's history and people. Antonio dropped us at a restaurant about 5 km from town that only serves food and wine they have grown/caught themselves. (sorry - forgot the name) The freshly caught sea bream grilled over charcoals and served with Dalmation garnishings (potato and spinach) was the best fish we had eaten.   "We won't be staying anywhere else. Nina & her son Marte were beyond ideal hosts. They were hospitable, gracious, and obviously proud of there amazing home. If available, book the lofty apartment and always partake of Nina's fabulous pancakes on the terrace. Upon arrival, Marte thorougly informed..." us of the town's sights, and what restaurants were open (our trip was during the off season). His recommendations were very helpful. The apartment was spacious, clean, bright, and had a fantastic view. Although it is equipped with air conditioning, we preferred the wide open windows. It is conveniently located in the heart of Korcula town, a few doors down from the best restaurants, and central to the ferry terminal and bus station. We absolutely loved our stay there!!! " More >

The dinner was good, but the timing of courses and a switched entree order showed some signs of the staff being new for the season. You have to park a little up the street from the hotel, but we had no problems (shoulder season helps I'm sure!).The 'beach' near the front of the hotel had a good bit of trash on and around it.
