I travel frequently and more often than not, with one or both of my dogs, so I truly know and appreciate a good place when I find one! It's true, not many fancy frills, but super comfortable, homey, clean and functional. Like little log cabins in the Northwoods (imagine that!). That's also reflected in the reasonable price. The grounds and the view are also worth their weight in gold. Someone commented on the old fashioned tv's...I know I don't come to the Apostle Islands region to watch tv.   "Wonderful stay. The "Summer Kitchen" cabin was clean and neat. Owners were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best one we had during our 12 day trip around Lake Superior. Very relaxing stay in a beautiful place."
