The manager is a nice guy and speaks good english too. As for the room, we booked a twin room with an opening discount of 12.000 yen/night. We payed 13.000 for a hotel in Suidobashi a few nights ago and the difference between them is huge. This room is relatively big, and it´s bright and comfortable. Had a very good night´s sleep here. Beds are a little bit on the harder side, which i prefer over soft ones. Don´t miss the ponshukan next door, full of Niigata sake and specialities. We will return here next trip. " More >

  "A very good business/conference hotel, great for those travelling for leisure too. I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, the single room is small but very comfortable, and I had a great view of Niigata Station and the city, enjoying a nice sunset seen from the room. Free tea/coffee/bath powder (..."nyuyoku ryo) and other amenities offered in the lobby. The breakfast buffet is very nice. There are computers for rent for those who need one but won't bother packing their own in the luggage. The hotel is directly connected to JR Niigata station so if you arrive by train it's just convenient, and the area near the station is packed with restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. " More >
