  "Cannot rate the staff here enough. Very friendly, and genuine about it too. We were picked up from the airport, very efficient, nice new a/c mini bus. Smooth drive though the chaos of Medan. Only minor niggle is when you showered you almost end up flooding the bathroom. Our phone didn't work, the wifi worked fine though. After a minor mix up we were given a smoking room but if they had not told us we would have been none the wiser. Nice flat-screen tv with cable and a few English channels including a movie one. Breakfast is pretty good. Typical Indonesian fare as well as cereals, something that might be congee and toast with tea coffee and juices. The restaurant can be pricey by local standards. The bar was ok, A pint in the bar was about GBP 2.70, in Bukit Lawang, which I'm told is way cheaper than Medan, it was GBP 2.02 for a 600ml bott... " More >
