  "We booked this hotel purely for location so we could visit Jerusalem and Petra. The hotel is clean and spacious. Food good plenty to choose from. If you have any allergies you can speak to the chef who will happily sort you out. Very tranquil peaceful area with no one bothering you. Fantastic views ..."of the sea from block 2 on the fourth floor. Also very quiet rooms. Adult pool busier than the pool where children are allowed and as there are not that many children preferred main pool as much larger and spacious. No problems getting sunbeds either. I would return here but have noticed THomson have pulled out of this area from May next year which is a real shame!! " More >

  "Stayed here before for one week and was really good, quiet room (have two young children) etc. Just wondering if anyone has stayed in a mountain room (are they good)? That is what I have been allocated this time and going for two weeks flying out tomorrow. Also obvious question I suppose for 5*..." but I assume the fruit and salad are washed in bottled water?   "This was our first visit to the Sol Y Mar Sea Star, although we had stayed in the Sofitel Taba Heights a couple of years ago so we were familiar with the area. We made our decision mainly on the price as it was a lot cheaper than the Taba Heights hotels. When we arrived, we were surprised at how qui..."et the hotel was and wondered whether we would be disappointed, absolutely no chance! this was by far the best holiday we have had. The small number of guests meant that the staff had more time to get to know people and this led to the wonderful service we received everywhere. Mohammed and the reception team were very welcoming and we received a refreshing drink on arrival and our bags were taken to our room in block 5. The rooms are spacious and despite some previous comments on Trip Advisor were in a good condition and very comfortable, although the room safes are a little on the small side if you tend to take a lot of gadgets you will struggle to get everything in.
