The area in which it is located doesn't offer much to the average traveller, but it is a short walk to the city centre, with an amazing outdoor sculpture park and nearby museums. The hotel is handily located for using the m..."etro system - which is efficient. We had two different rooms - can't remember the numbers now - but both were large and comfortable. On the first occasion we were able to access our room well before check-in, which we really appreciated after a sleepless 10 hour night bus journey. The second room we had, on the first floor, probably could have done with a bit of an update but it was clean and had fans and TV. The food served at the hotel is excellent and well priced, which is lucky since there aren't many good eating options locally. We did have a bit of a weird time at one dinner.   "This hostel is lovely with great facilities. I stayed in the girls dorm which had a good large bathroom, very clean and modern. The hostel itself didn't have much atmosphere I found, although they played great music in the bar there was hardly ever anyone there. I think people head out to the local ..."bars / restaurants which is a better option anyway. Taxi from airport was about 60,000. The hostel offers breakfast but also have a well equipped kitchen so you can make your own meals. " More >

The rooms are simply lovely with extremely comfortable, cloud like beds and bedding and modern bathrooms. There is also a well stocked kitchen that is open for guest use, if you want to stay in sometimes. As well as the house itself, what makes Su Casa stand out is their focus on local tours and genuine Colombian experiences. We enjoyed the fruit tasting tour and tried a huge number of fruits that we hadn't even seen in other places. I can imagine if you were new to Colombia and didn't speak Spanish, being here would calm all the "new country" nerves!
