The buffe..."t is pricey ($75 each) but if you come on a weekend night, you are treated to a lovely Tahitian Dance Show. The food at the buffet is wonderful. We also ate at the pool cafe, which had outdoor seating and a resident cat that slept at your feet. They have their own pool and over-the-water bungalows. This is definitely a family friendly resort so if you are looking for a place with little to no kids, you might have to book elsewhere. That was the one drawback of this resort, I found.   "Truly a Great Beginning to Beautiful French Polynesia"
  "We stayed for three nights at this fabulous resort. We had only booked two nights, but our Thursday flight from LA was cancelled and we "had" to arrive in Papeete one night early. The hotel was very accomodating to our situation and even upgraded us to a panaramic view room. The view was spectacu..."lar. It overlooked a waterlilly pond, the sand bottom pool and the ocean, including the over the water bungaloos. The room was lovely, with a large modern bathroom and the oh so comfortable bed. Thanks to an airline voucher the first morning we ate at the breakfast buffet. It was pricey and sort of uninteresting with limited choices. It was lovely, though, set next to a beautiful waterlily pond. The next morning we went to the shopping strip next to the hotel and had croissants and coffee at the local bakery. I didn't love it-- the coffee (everywhere in French Polynesia) was not good, the croissant was OK. The pool was fantastic. Very clean, large, the sand bottom... " More >

  "My husband and I stayed for six nights at Le Meridien and loved it. The room was clean, comfortable and lovely. The bed was firm and comfortable. Huge bathroom! We had coffee every morning on our balcony overlooking the garden, the ocean, and Moorea in the distance. Sunrise and sunset were beau..."tiful, the whole place was lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful (majority spoke English). We brought snorkel equipment but borrowed their fins at no charge to snorkel in the ocean, just walking into the ocean from the beach behind the resort. There is a pizza restaurant on the main road to the left of their driveway, and a shopping center beyond that within easy walking distance. Center includes a supermarket with ATM machines to withdraw cash, was very convenient to buy snacks, munchies, etc. We loved the resort, and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.
