  "Lovely holiday home - spacious and clean. Pool, hot tub, lovely views from the top deck. Great for extended family because there are so many separate spaces. A few minor things needed attention when we were there - lights in the lounge failed, air conditioning in the main bedroom failed one night...", bedside lamp light wouldn't work, dodgy handrails up on the top deck around the hot tub - we were told to be careful of rails but a bit of a safety issue. However, these were all minor irritations and all in all I would definitely recommend this as a fabulous fabulous place to stay. The owner Janet recommended Cristina (Galway Travel) for organising trips and we did use her but I would not recommend her - I'm not even sure she is based in Santa Cruz anymore - she was in Quito when we were in Santa Cruz which made it difficult to get information about trips etc that she had booked. Yet, we still saw the Blue footed boobies, sea lions, land iguanas, sea iguanas, sea turtles, dolphins, etc. plus the land tortoises that Galapagos on the private yacht day excursions, offered by the Finch Bay resort, which is very close by. We upgraded our hotel options to include this hotel based upon Trip Advisor ratings and were really happy we did. The hotel is a few blocks up the hill from the town, but this is ..."not a problem as it's a pleasant walk. The owners here are super cool and very friendly. They do a great job of looking after their guests. Our room was huge with 2 bedrooms and a lounge and kitchen! Breakfast was really nice. We would definitely stay here again if we came back. " More >
