  "Lovely oasis of calm, relaxation, peace, home from home in Palawan. There is a sense of space, quiet, its really a special place. I can't imagine anywhere else in El Nido is comparable. there are a few dogs there, all totally chilled out, not aggressive, they look to see its a tourist & then go back..." to doing whatever they are doing. There's an otter that has adopted & been adopted by a dog (that had lost pups) so its sucking on the milk, the other dogs/puppies treat it like a puppy. There's a couple of piglets, a bearcat (a palawan native). Its all really cool, great vibe, animals pick up on that hence they are so chilled. Bungalows/cottages I think I are preferable to room, especially those with aircon. Cooler, and aircon works well. Beach on the doorstep with amazing sunsets. " More >

  "My husband and I had booked somewhere in corong corong but when we stumbled on kalinga beach resort for less than half the price we changed out booking to stay here instead. We paid 1200php for a stand alone cottage inc breakfast for 2 ppl. The cottages are beautiful with private balcony, tv, fan...", safe box and bathroom. The sunset views are amazing, much better than in el nido town. The staff are what make the resort though- they are so friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help you with local advice, tips, trips and bus tickets. We did island hopping tour A with the hotel on their boat- there was just 4 of us and they provided ice boxes (which I broke!). The resort is a good 10mins from the centre but that is exactly why we chose it. It's near enough to town to pop in for food and drinks but far enough away from the noise of late night bars and traffic. Just bring a torch!
