  "We were staying in Hotel Maison Suisse for 10 days. It was an excellent choice. We had a 19 months old child with us and in the hotel he had place to play and was even entertained by an extremely helpful and caring hotel owner, Claude Hurard. Mr. Hurard and his wife allowed us to use the kitchen to ..."cook for the little one. While our boy was exploring the hotel, his parents enjoyed looking at the paintings which are everywhere - reception, lobby, dining room, corridors, rooms.... Mr.Hurard's collection can compete with any gallery in Asuncion. It was very kind of him to introduce us to some of the prominent artists. So, we left the place completely satisfied with 2 artworks and intention to come back to this hotel again. " More >

  "Whenever I stayed there, Service was the name of the game!"
  "OK, granted, it's been quite a while since I've stayed here. As an Eastern Airlines Pilot, I used to leave Miami on Monday, arrive at the Ita around midnight, and would check out Thurs morning, 3 times a month. Upon arrival, although the hotel had that "asleep" feel, the manager made sure our dr..."inks were freshly made for us at the bar. The rooms are nothing to write home about, but were clean, and the peaceful location on the river always brought a welcome breeze. For the 3 days we were there each week, you didn't have to leave thotel, but if yo wanted to go downtown, the shuttle was always at your disposal. Service at the Ita is excellent because it has to be...There are much more modern properties in town, but the noise permeates from the street into your room. For the money and friendliness, service, and the "quaintness" of this hotel, I will always hang my hat here... Keep in mind the last time I was there was in July 1990... " More >
