The first 3 days were spent at IE's tented basecamp on Half Moon Caye, Lighthouse Reef, then the next 7 days, we toured the Central Cayes around Tobacco Caye in a rental kayak. Half Moon Caye is home to a red-footed booby and frigate bird colony so lots of bird watching opportunities. We also kayaked, kayak-sailed and snorkeled (lots of great coral and fish). The snorkeling was amazing. I was so glad I got an underwater camera before going! The accommodations are ..."basic but comfortable and the food was delicious. Especially cool that we ate fish that some of our group caught on fishing outings. We especially enjoyed the isolation of Half Moon Caye, 50 miles off the coast of Belize.
