  "Just got back from a week at Playa Pesquero. Beautiful, large resort with warm, friendly, very accommodating staff in all areas. Some very interesting features: Beautiful coffee bar in the lobby with delicious coffees of your choice, with or without liqour of your choice. Great lobby bar and a ca..."rt that's wheeled throughout the lobby in the evenings with higher end liquours (free) and cigars (for purchase). Lots of activity and great entertainment in the gorgeous lobby throughout the day, not just evening. Fabulous Mojito Bar and 24-hour Beer Garden with draught, canned and bottled beer and snack food (deep fried calamari, sausages, meatballs, chicken nuggest, sandwiches). Wished we had stayed more than a week as we discovered some great little food places too late in the week, such as the hot dog and burger cart by the pool and the fish & chip cart, also by the pool -- we spent most of our time on the beach.   "Stayed at resort April 5/13 to April 7/13 We flew with Air Transat out of Halifax; our flight was perfect, we booked Option Plus but then ended up getting upgraded to Club Class at the time of boarding the plane; same thing on our way back! Just great!! ..." Arrived in Holguin ; 1 hour ride to resort; check-in was pretty quick. We were in block 1; older part of the resort. The room was okay, kind of dark and dingy and smelled like cigarette smoke. We asked if we could be moved and they said to come to reception at a certain time and we did and then we were told to come back and I said never mind, I’ll light some candles and spray some room freshener. The reception people were very friendly, the resort was pretty full. The maid did a good job, always fresh towels, very nice lady. Our fridge was stocked daily, beer, water, soda.
