Absolute quiet and very peaceful surrounding helps you to switch off from real life. Clients are mostly 50+ finnish couples, who won't disturbe your privacy. Buffet breakfast is very OK! Cons: Buffet dinner's choice is very limited (not to say poor). Some health procedures are quite expensive for local people. In conclusion would like to say, that if you want to enjoy some peaceful staying by yourself or you are in couple and would like to relax, not party, Fra Mare is a perfect place to visit. " More >

  "Christmas in Fra Mare"
  "I spent the Christmas Holidays ( 3 nights ) in Fra Mare and it was relaxing time even though the hotel was fully booked. The swimming pool was never too crowded and saunas had always enough space to enjoy the heat. Food was tasty, only this time the low lactose products were not as well marked as be..."fore. The Christmas evening buffet was not carried out the best possible way, they had only one banquet and the tables were too close to each other and there was not enough tableware for everybody and also long queue for buffet table ( there were 2 tables, but I believe, over 200 persons dining the same time ). However, food was delicious and even Santa Claus paid a visit after dinner. Weather was cold but rooms were comfortably warm. There was skis and skiing shoes to rent and a lit ski track quite near the hotel but this time I didn´t have suitable clothes for skiing.
