I will never forget sleeping under the stars, with shadows of hopping kangaroos in the near distance. And the stars! With no ambient light, the stars start right at the horizon, not just straight up. When you are lying on the ground, you feel like you are floating in space because the stars are not just above, they surround you. It's surreal (and I was sober!).   "After reading the positive reviews we just had to stay here on our trip to the Alice. My sister and I booked into the 'family room' on arrival, just for one night - but quickly extended it to four. ($110 a night for the two of us). Very spacious room with kitchen and bathroom. Nice firm beds (one do..."uble, a single and a king single). Kitchen with all appliances and cooking needs. Digital TV with all channels available (after I tuned it!). Free WiFi any time of day and night. Free breakfast in the guest kitchen (yummy free range eggs). Very friendly, helpful and chatty hosts. Security gates locked at night with guests only access codes. O.K. the place is a bit dated and a few things are less than perfect, but this is a budget motel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
