  "Thank you for a lovely weekend. The service was fantastic and the surroundings beautiful. We enjoyed breakfasts, lunches and a dinner in the restaurant and it was all delicious. The room was spacious, light and very comfortable. We would certainly go back again."

First, service is old fashioned Swiss, i.e. everything taught in good hotel schools, but more polite than attentive or responsive to a guest's needs. It's not one big thing but many little things that make for a correct rather than a warm welcome. Next, the Michelin starred restaurant was disappointing. Simply put, neither the quality of the food nor the service was fully up to par. All in all, glad I visited (I kept some pictures) , but I am not eager to return. " More >

  "Unfortunately we could stay for one night only at this hotel. The room booked was a lake view room. Unfortunately we were not immediately greeted at the door as would be expected in a 5 star hotel, but there was a response a short time later. The check In was smooth and staff were polite and informa..."tive. The presentation of the room was excellent, with many small touches to show that staff took a keen interest in making guests comfortable. As the hotel has an excellent spa area (yet no inside spa but with a beautiful sauna and steam room) we also had a massage each from the resident massuse Olga which was very good. As the al carte restaurant was closed we chose the 4 course dinner from the traditional restaurant on the terrace. Clemment was a superb host and his staff were likewise excellent. The set menu was 99 chr and very good value for Switzerland where food is absurdly expensive. The rack of lamb and dessert of pistachio/pistachio/chocolate was exquisite. The aperitifs were likew...
