  "Large resort hotel in excellent location for outdoor activities and only 30 minutes from Freiburg and 1 hour from Basel or Zurich. The hotel rooms are typical German style but with large bedrooms with double or single beds. Most seem to have a balcony either facing the lake or facing the mountain. ..."The noise levels are extremely low, and at 6am in the morning, the silence you get in this mountain resort is incredible. As typical in this area, there is a spa, and also a small gym with approx 10 weight training equipment but no treadmill. However in Spring and summer, the location offers some fantastic trails for running, so the absence of a treadmill is no big deal. There was live music in the bar /reception area, and appears to be a separate bar/night-club probably in use in peak season. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and great selection of fruit, yoghurts, cereal, bread and cooked if you prefer.
