  "We decided to spend a day in Savona after our cruise, rather than rushing back to Genoa for our flight home. We chose the Mare Hotel for its location by the sea. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the whole hotel has been remodelled to a high modern standard. We arrived early but the..."y managed to upgrade our room rather than have to wait until our allocated room was ready for us. We had a great room with balcony, no sea view though. This hotel is on the sea with a private beach and outside bars and lounges, it would be buzzing during the height of the season, we felt a little hard done by that we were here early May. There is plenty of public transport to the city centre but we chose the 40minute walk which was very nice. The hotel has an incredible restaurant which specializes in seafood dishes of very high standards with great service, all of which does come at a fairly high price. " More >

  "Stayed here as part of a tour that we, unfortunately, booked (Tours4fun/ GoEuGo). There was a mall with restaurants nearby and a Mc Donald's on the other side. Our hotel mates that the train was nearby too. The rooms were new, clean and spacious. Nothing to rave about but overall it was okay. "
