The facilities in the rooms as stated are a little basic, but you’re in Monaco why are you spending all you time in the room. The only time that we spent time in the room was later in the evening when we would sit out on the balcony with the ipad (connected to the hotels free wifi) and google the yachts that were coming in to harbour with a bottle of white. The food served in the hotel was good and loved the presentation, wine was reasonably priced, but as with all spirits bought in bars a shot is pricey (don’t get caught out).   "I cannot fault this place. I paid €70 a night, the bed was clean, as too the bathroom and was of an ok size. The location was great and I walked everywhere. I did find Monaco a little pricey so to find a nice cheap bed was good. I didn't spend much time in the hotel as I was out and about everywhere...". but hey thats why you go to Monte Carlo...   "No one reading reviews on TripAdvisor can afford a proper 4 or 5-star hotel in Monaco...period. A "basic" room elsewhere is easily €$200-300 a night and that is w/o wifi or breakfast....or anything. €400-500 is "standard". Hotel Monaco is small and imperfect BUT also very close by walking to ..."everything in Monaco (driving is a nightmare). The staff are friendly and helpful and they KNOW what they are offering, so lose your attitude at the door and they will be equally gracious. Yes, it's noisy (so ask for a room on the the alley vs. street), the showers are tiny (as well as the rooms)...but such is a €90-125 room in the heart of Monaco PLUS a very nice breakfast. If you are worried about the price, stay in Nice and take the train for €5. Use the money save from this hotel for everything else in Monaco which is ridiculously overpriced. " More >
