Our room was very..." spacious, clean and unlike other reviews, there was not a but smell in it. The bathroom was very nice the bed was comfortable with a flat screen TV, slippers, and toiletries. Our room was facing the street, so some times you could hear the noise from outside, but in no way, you can blame the hotel for this reason. The best part though from our accommodation was the stuff. Honestly I felt like I was with friends or family. They were extremely friendly, helpful, polite always with a smile on their face. The location is the greatest asset of the accommodation, being close to the busy waterfront but remaining in the peaceful part of the ol..."d town. Second advantage is a price which is very reasonable for the standard of the room. It is perfect for budget travellers who expect decent standard of a holiday. Building appears to be an old apartment from the Venice times which gives an additional flavour. While living in an old building you must accept also its costs such as steep stairs, hearing the water in the pipeline, but in my opinion it is not a big problem to deal with. There is a terrace available on the top of the stairs with a sight of a sea and the roofs of the surrounding houses. You can have a reast there while the sun is bearable. A loose toilet seat was reported and fixed the same day. • Staff – work long hours (12 hour shifts for many) and extremely hard. The cleaning staff are exceptional. All staff are friendly and couldn’t do enough to be more helpful. • Food – a well presented and varied selection to match most tastes. If you don’t like chips eat something else from the buffet.
