Weather not brilliant when we visited, very windy, so did not use the pool area very much, although if the weather is favourable there are lots of different levels & areas to sit outside. Beautiful view from the bedroom with a small balcony, so it's worth paying for the sea view. Staff very helpful & polite. The breakfasts were lovely, plenty of choice, but sadly not much vegetarian choice. Also, the dinner vegetarian option got a bit monontonous after a while, different types of pasta every night. Convenient bus stop round the corner, so we were able to venture by bus to Faro & Albufeira, which was very easy, some also went to Lagos. Ask for a time table at Reception, as the buses run at about 2hr intervals. " More >

There were several terraces around the pool however with sunbeds and chairs. Our room was adequate, with a TV, air cond..."itioning and a fridge which was very useful. Also a safe which we did not have to pay for which was a bonus. We had the tiniest balcony on which only one of us could sit at a time and our sea view was seen between two buildings.The dining room was pleasant but the food repetitive and bland. The bar and sitting area was comfortable.As we had traveled with Saga our drinks were free until 10pm, and we could have unlimited wine with our meals.Also a constant supply of coffee or tea. The perks of getting old! Entertainment was poor.   "We have been here twice before when it was called "Hotel Garbe" & stayed for 9 nights in May 2013 & enjoyed it immensely. We were give a " road facing" room after booking a seaview but were immediately given a wonderful suite that more than made up for the mistake. The room was good & we had a patio..." & then walked out onto grass overlooking the beach.All the staff, waiters, cleaners & reception were very friendly & helpful. Claudia & Alexandrina on reception were particularly accomodating. Chloe, the young lady who has a room in the hotel to give massages & treatments is also very nice & does a very good pedicure!!
