  "The 2 double rooms we occupied had both a balcony overlooking the hotel garden and Lago Maggiore with its "Borromeo Islands" of Isla Bella and Isla Madre. The ferry to these islands is just 1 km from the hotel which exists of 2 parts - the old, original house of the parents of the 2 owners (2 broth..."ers) and a new part in which the bedrooms can be found. A little stream thunders from the mountain onto the property and soon afterwards into the lake. The sound is soothing as are the beautiful flowers, Azalea bushes and trees in the well-laid out garden with its different statues. Breakfast was wonderful with a coffee made expressly the way we wanted to, choice of different teas, cheeses, cold cuts and sweets. The bedrooms have good bedding and are nice and clean as are the bathrooms. Thanks to the high quality windows no noise came from the street below us. It was quiet and peaceful. " More >

  "It was raining all the two nights I stayed there, but could see a slice of Lago Maggiore from my balcony. This is a classy place, all furnishings are quite new or in good condition. And there is lots and lots of friendly staff. Saunas and pools are at your service for a small fee. Wifi is expensive!..." Baveno is such a small village, and all other restaurants etc. live on the revenue they get from the hotel guests, so you have a good service there as well. I will certainly come here again. " More >

  "Hotel is well located and an easy walk to the lake. Also has access to swimming pool, gym, sauna etc which is an added bonus. We had a corner room which allowed us decent views (not of the lake but we knew that) and the room was spacious, clean and perfectly fine. Free parking was also another use..."ful bonus. Staff were really friendly and very helpful (I was ill on our last day and they allowed us to stay in the room until 2.30pm at no charge which made a massive difference for me).
