  "After reading other reviews and upon a recommendation from our friends who stayed here last September, we booked two nights. We had a room in Casa Rosso with a veranda overlooking the lake. It was wonderful. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern. It was roomy a..."nd was a delightful place to stay. Breakfast was great both mornings and we had dinner on the deck our last night which was very good. We had traveled by train and it was a bit of a hike with our luggage to the room. One tip - don't go lakeside as you have to hike up 30 plus stairs to get to where you check in. Our mistake. Make sure you stay on the main road. Also there is no lift which we knew but a warning to others who might need one. Varenna was the most beautiful place we visited during our 3 week trip to France and Italy. " More >
