  "When we entered our room we were a little disappointed in the decor, but then to have such a lovely Spa Bath with lights really made up for it. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much for them, some more training would be helpful but everyon..."e was doing their best. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the meal was superb, I started with the Pea Soup, who would know it could be served so well and the rest of our meal too, compliments to the chef.   "William greeted us and showed us to room 1 on the gropund floor. It had a king sized four poster bed with a couple of chairs. The en suite had a shower plus basin and loo.. William told us about local places to eat( including Room 9 a great restaurant). Breakfast was fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal..."s plus a cooked option. It was all beautifully cooked and tasty. An hour spent on the deck with the spectacular harbor view and wonderful conversation with Vall and Alan add to what is a totally comfortable experience. We spent most of our visit to Oban out on the nearby islands with their wildlife and history and Thornloe was the perfect place to come "home" to after chilly, blustery days. Bravo! " More >
