Being on the lake was great as we took afternoon walks each day. There is additional restaurants and a small grocery store a couple minutes drive away if you don't want to eat onsite. Did not see the wildlife like we did in Jasper, but being on the lake was very nice. Had some snow as we were leaving so having covered parking is a plus. You do have to pay for parking, but after stays in major cities you sometimes get used to it. When you check in they have everything ready for you...you don't even have to get out of car.   "I have wanted to stay at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise since I was 15 and I finally got the chance for my 40th birthday. On arriving, we met Hailey at the front desk who was just great. She made us feel very welcomed and upgraded our room to a deluxe with a view of the Lake. The room was on the 8..."th floor and it was beautiful. The bathroom has two showers! The beds are soooo comfortable and bright white. We took a beautiful walk around the lake, which is still covered in ice in May! I was surprised to find the internet was not included. $13.95 per day plus tax. Then, we went to use the hot tub, which was tepid at best. The pool was perfect temperature for me, however. I couldn't have asked for better. And, the steam room is good if you can figure out how to work it. I'm used to a steam room that just shoots out steam. This one requires adding water somewhere.
