  "We stayed at AC for the second half of our honeymoon. We're not really big eaters and felt the meal plans were expensive, even considering the excessive cost of the food on resort. I think it worked out best for us this way- we brought some rum, soft drinks, cornflakes and soya milk from a supermark..."et so were able to have some drinks and breakfast in our room on a few of the days and ordered as much food and drink as we wanted from the restaurants during the day. The room was very nice and I didn't miss aircon as we had a bit of a breeze. We were in 8D. The mosquitos are vicious- we both got far more bites here, despite the repellant, than we had done in the first part of our holiday near Castries. We thought we would end up leaving the resort but there was so much to do there and the food was so nice that we didn't need to- apart from a morning trip to do the volcano, sulphur springs, mudbaths, waterfal and botanical gardens. Things just got better and better after that! Everyone greeted me as "Madame" and the service was beyond incredibly pampering. The staff could not have been more gracious and unobtrusive in their desire to please. I had a male and a female "Major Domo" (which I had to research once I found out I would have them!) during my stay. I am a simple, humble, Irish Catholic school girl who grew up in a lower middle class Brooklyn neighborhood; so, you can imagine my initial discomfort with being addressed as "Madame".
