We were dropped of in a pleasantly cool historic stone building with a small gift shop and clean modern bathrooms located behind the main building. The prices in the gift shop were better than in town and wares of better quality. Another smaller bus picked us up and drove up a small hill to the plantation. The bus driver shared stories about the plantation, the original owner and plantation life during the time it was built. They are two of the sweetest and friendliest ladies we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And, Sheldon the night chef was fantastic! There wasn't anything he would not do to make you comfortable and happy. He was at our beck and call, and we so appreciated him. And he can really cook!!   "We arrived at Ebb Tide in the afternoon. We were joyfully greeted by charm and hyacinth. We spent most of our days at the beach which was just a quick 3 minute walk down the street. The water was clear, beautiful and warm. Our view from the porch was amazingly gorgeous. A perfect place to watch th..."e sun set and read a good book. The constant breeze off the water was the perfect air conditioning. We had the most wonderful meals prepared by charm and hyacinth. Some of the best food I've ever had! Our private beach was a perfect place to wade in the water and collect seashells. Ebb Tides bed rooms are very spacious and each have an AC unit. The living room stretches across the whole house! There are many comfy couches and chairs to curl up on, relax and enjoy the breeze that blows through the whole house, watch TV or enjoy each others company.
