Some were a little annoyed but overall the staff was great. Now the rooms are not 4 or 5 star rooms. The overall resort is great but if you are gonna notice a chip here, messy caulking, repair patches in walls, than go stay at the ritz carlton. You are hardly ever in the rooms. We did have a remodeled room by the way. Our room was great. A few things that could be improved but not worth mentioning. We were in the Pelican. On the weekend there was a flood of kids there.   "We just got home from a eight night stay at the Blue Bay in a Villa. I was with my two daughters. It was a family trip meeting up with my Aunt and her girls and grandchildren. Because there was 9 of us all together...we both had separate Villa's but because they were very large, we often ate dinners..." together on the wonderful patios. The private beach was spectacular, loved everything about it. One complaint would be that you had to exchange your beach towels at the beach and we always had to go find someone to do this. Some times we were too late. We never used the pools. You need a car to get around the island to see many of the other sites. Loved the large kitchens, fridges etc. The local Centrum was not very far and had everything we needed. Learned that they pack and carry the bags to your car and you have to tip them. 1 gulder seemed to be the common amount so not too much money. An ATM was also there, so very convenient.   "I spent 4 nights at this all inclusive resort. It has been recently renovated and the room was big and the building clean. The entertainment was very good and so was the food and drinks. The service at the 3 dinning rooms was excellent. The employees were very friendly and pleasant. All the request..."s were fulfilled. It is a family oriented resort and it is not for adults only, so if you like more "peace and quiet" on a vacation, it is not for you. It was full of kids of all ages since it was Mother's Day and Catholic First Communion weekend. Check with the resort before you book if there is any special event at the resort on your dates.
