But we were there in 87 degree and 75 degree weather. The facility has no air conditioning. The rooms have some exhaust fans which get the roo..."m near outside temperature by about 2 a.m. But the main lodge gets heated by a greenhouse effect and the lobby and the dining hall were sweat lodges. In addition the dining room is full of flies and the meal needs a lot of driving them off or swatting them. The meals were average to poor, an apple cobbler with five pounds of dough and five ounces of apple. The other food was OK, the rooms average. Grant's Grove Village and Lodge would be my next choice, air conditioning and really friendly people. " More >

  "For the price, this is a great option. It is a little busy and parking can be weird, some person parked right in front of our door almost into our picnic area. We stayed in a rustic cabin and felt it was comfortable and clean. This is not fancy in any respect and would probably spend no more than..." 3 nights there - I would rather be in a tent or lodge. It is great option for those who want to save a little money and are out of towners who can't bring in their camping gear. The service was mostly good: the gentleman who checked us in was great, the young men who cleaned the rooms were very nice and the lady who checked us out for horrible. " More >

Cabins have electricity, running water (on property spring, yum), and evaporative coolers, which are just perfect for the location. There's a stove, (no microwave so remember that), a fridge, and TV/DVD/VH..."S with tapes. It reminded of how a family vacation should be alone, quiet, a billion stars, and pride of ownership. Kudos! You won't believe how close to the Mineral Springs entrance to Sequoia you are, nor will you the amazing hospitality that you find at Champagne Ranch. From the time you arrive until the time you leave, you are family. One caveat, read the description. These cabins are up a sometimes single lane road about 8 miles into the mts. It's so worth it.
