  "Barefoot was our second island stay in the Yasawas and it did not disappoint. The staff were wonderful and welcoming and gave us a brief on arrival as well as a guided walk around all of the facilities whilst our check in details were being processed - it was nice not having to line up. We choose t..."o stay in the ensuite safari style tents which were amazing. The bed was very comfortable, there was a fan above it, and the views were incredible. It was cleaned daily and only metres from sunset beach which had great snorkeling, and was lovely and calm to swim in at high tide. Sunrise beach was a little windier which was nice when it was really hot - you could lie on the beach and read a book without overheating in 2 minutes!. Breakfast and lunch were served in the middle of the island near the main bure at communal tables and dinner was served on the sunset deck where it was possible to reserve your own table if you wanted a romantic evening.   "I recently snorkeled on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The reef at Botaira is as good as the Great Barrier Reef. The advantage at Botaira is that the reef is just a one minute swim from the shore whereas you have to take a one plus hour boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef. The variety of fish ..."that I saw was simply incredible. Even after ten snorkel trips over the reef, I was still seeing new species of fish.The best time to snorkel the reef at Botaira is at high tide when you can snorkel directly over the shallowest part of the reef but there is a concrete walkway that you can use to get to the other parts of the reef at lower tides. The beach is a long stretch of white sand in a cove that is usually sheltered from the winds. The volume and quality of food was excellent with some meals being served buffet style and some being individually served to your table.
