  "My husband and I found this gem of a guesthouse by chance - we were driving by looking for places to stay close to Blue Bay (where there is some of the best snorkelling on Mauritius) and happened across the Jardin du Soleil. What a lucky find it was! The guest house is excellently located (a couple ..."minutes walk away from Blue Bay and about a ten minute drive from the airport, which was useful for catching our return flight home), well maintained and very comfortable. Philip and Rosemary are wonderfully welcoming people and as other reviewers have commented, her cooking is top notch. All in all, I would highly recommend this guest house to other travellers - especially for a couple of nights towards the end of any trip to Mauritius - being so close to the airport means you can relax on your final days without worrying about transfers. There are not too many turists there so it is perfect for snorkeling. Beach is narrow but sandy. Not only the location is fairy but also the place itself is very appealing. If you are looking for a cosy guesthouse, keeping it simple, clean but modern - this is the right place. Last but not least the family running the business is super friendly and willing to help and give advices. Some things cost just a smile there, others have reasonable prices too.
