  "We stayed here for two weeks at the beginning of May 2013. The weather was a lot warmer than expected, even by the locals, with only a couple of days of cloud and the odd rumble of thunder. We arrived in Dubrovnik as we booked through Jet2 Holidays and the transfer was just shy of 2 hours. We had little delay at the Croatian border. The Hotel Tara is situated along the coast from Budva, a nice 20 minute walk along the coastal path although there is a lot of building going on. The path itself now goes under a huge new development which looks set to be completed within the next few years. The hotel was generally very busy so mealtimes could be a bit frantic and it was a bit trying at times, especially with certain people ignoring the queues!!   "the reception desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly the hotel was immaculate bed linen was changed every day and restaurant staff were very friendly not advisable to anyone that has trouble walking as there are about six stairs on all floors to get to the lifts"

  "My wife and I were part of a Saga group staying at this hotel in May 2013.The hotel is situated in a resort complex and is surrounded by other hotels,three star and above.We found the staff excellent and the food good value.We were all-inclusive with Saga so cannot comment on bar prices.Cuisine is b..."uffet with a good choice of different foods.The hotel has nearly 600 rooms and I would think quite busy in summer peak months.The service from Saga was very good.The village of Becici is not particularly attractive but has a small range of shops and two mini markets. There is a promenade walk to Budva of about 1-2 miles and a local bus service.Taxis are available.Saga also organised various optional trips around this mountainous but scenic country. " More >
