  "We just happened to stay this hotel as we were driving aimlessly from Tokyo bay to the Sea of Japan side... no booking was made in advance even though it was the middle of August, one of the busiest holiday season in Japan. Maybe that was partly because Joetsu isn't particulary a nice tourist spo..."t... but anyway... we had no trouble finding a twin room at this hotel on that day, for less than 10000 yen!! Room is not spacious, but very tidy and had everything you basically need. You may feel the fridge is a little too tiny... we brought 6 tins of beer and only 3 could get in (other 3 had to be consumed right away...) What we liked most was the breakfast buffet with nice selection of Japanese/Western food... so good that we stuffed ourselves a bit too much and had to skip the lunch. " More >
