I came to The River Rock Inn with my husband this past January and it was absolutely wonderful. The lobby is so beautiful and as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even helped us with our luggage. Our room was beautiful and was facing the Ottawa River.... More

As a frequent traveller i've stayed in hotels across Canada and most of all the major citys in the U.S. The River Rock Inn met all of my expectations and the staff made me feel welcome. Love the feel of the smaller hotel , much more personable Daniel from Victoria , BC More

We were in Rockland last month for a business meeting in Ottawa. We stayed at the charming River Rock Inn for two days. The employees are warm, friendly and very accommodating. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I do recommend this nice, clean and warm hotel to all travellers. They will make you feel at home! More

I stay here on business a few times a year (usually not in the busy summer season) It is reasonably priced and the staff are very accommodating. It does remind you of an "Inn" and not a hotel. More

I travel a lot on business and have discovered this great little hotel in Rockland that is worth the 20-25 minute drive from Ottawa whenever I am there on business. The employees are warm and helpful, the rooms are simple but spacious and warm. The complimentary breakfast perfect for a business man on the go. I would recomment this place... More

This hotel sucks. They are very anti English. I stayed there a few times out of necessity and went back this time. I called 4 times just to get an answer from the front desk. When I drove thirty miles to get there, I was informed that, in a brilliant business decision, they now refuse to accept AMEX. The staff... More

Most hotel reviews will be made by unsatisfied guests no matter how many satisfied guests an hotel actually has. Satisfied guests do not usually take the time to let anyone know. All Trip Advisor visitors should be aware that this may not be the best platform to get accurate reviews. More

The staff that works here is unprofessional, uncourteous and uneducated. Guess the owner had to limit her standards, I mean she can't hire people that are better than her at operating a hotel. The owner should really invest in a Hotel Management course. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I was verbally harassed by an off-duty employee,... More

These guests were warned by hotel staff and then OPP to stop noise in hotel hallways and to go back to their room. I have on DVD these guests pushing and harrassing one of our guests as well as one of our employee. The harrassment was not done by our staff but by the guests. There is a report filed... More

Pros: -Off the highway -Clean Cons: -Don't get me started on the price.... from the pictures the rooms look great and seem to have a lot to offer. I paid about $150 for a night, we had no mini bar in the room, the TV was an old tube TV that hardly worked. -Lots of noise from traffic -Breakfast was... More

CONS: Phone in room was inop, Internet (wired only) in room didn't work. The included "breakfast" is only bread and a few packaged james with some cereals. No meats or anything warm. PROS: The hotel and room was beautiful, everything was exceptionally clean, staff were fabulous. I would stay here again. More

Though nothing overtly wrong with this place, I would suggest one continues and looks for a more accommodating place.... The wife and I stand there and found the reception cold to say the least. I was more keen on sleep and was awoken often by traffic/trucks using their air brakes... Safe to say we won't be staying here again and... More
